{"id":9317,"date":"2024-10-12T09:00:26","date_gmt":"2024-10-12T07:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/?p=9317"},"modified":"2024-10-10T11:38:57","modified_gmt":"2024-10-10T09:38:57","slug":"nouveau-conseil-general-des-filles-de-la-sagesse-un-elan-renouvele-en-la-fete-de-notre-dame-du-pilier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/en\/nouveau-conseil-general-des-filles-de-la-sagesse-un-elan-renouvele-en-la-fete-de-notre-dame-du-pilier\/","title":{"rendered":"New General Council of the Daughters of Wisdom: renewed impetus."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">On this day of October 12th, as we celebrate Our Lady of the Pillar, we are pleased to announce the new General Council of the Daughters of Wisdom, elected during our 60th General Chapter, which was held in Angers from June 23rd to July 14th, 2024.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"font-600 text-xl font-bold\">A new team to guide our mission<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-9312 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1-.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1-.png 800w, https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1--300x223.png 300w, https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1--768x571.png 768w, https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1--700x521.png 700w, https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1--500x372.png 500w, https:\/\/www.fdlsagesse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/sagesse-1--272x202.png 272w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">The new General Council, reflecting the international nature of our Congregation, is composed as follows:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"-mt-1 list-disc space-y-2 pl-8\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Sister Rani Kurian: Superior General<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Sister Antonella Prestia: General Councillor<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Sister Nadige Jean-Charles: General Councillor<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Sister Marie Immaculate Makina: General Councillor<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Sister Lourdes Alonso Vicente: General Councillor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"font-600 text-xl font-bold\">Our Lady of the Pillar: A model of boldness and openness<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Following the example of Our Lady of the Pillar, who crossed the ocean to reach the nations, our Sisters of the General Council are also committed to daring with confidence, opening up to unity with boldness and creativity within the Congregation&#8217;s Body to live the &#8220;Liberos&#8221; of Father de Montfort.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"font-600 text-xl font-bold\">New orientations for our Congregation<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">The General Chapter has defined clear orientations to guide our Congregation in the coming years:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"-mt-1 list-decimal space-y-2 pl-8\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><strong>Unity and collaboration<\/strong>: Strengthen our unity as the Congregation\u2019s Body, by thinking about our mission and resources in a global way rather than by entity.<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><strong>Living &#8220;LIBEROS&#8221;<\/strong>: Deepen our awareness of being one Body, recognizing that the Body is greater than the mere sum of its parts.<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><strong>Openness to new calls<\/strong>: Discern with wisdom the new calls of the mission, being ready to adapt and respond to the emerging needs of our world.<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><strong>Responsible management<\/strong>: Adopt a responsible and innovative approach in managing our resources in the service of our mission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"font-600 text-xl font-bold\">A future guided by Wisdom<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">On this feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, we renew our commitment to &#8220;Seek \u2013 Contemplate \u2013 Reveal&#8221; Wisdom in the heart of today\u2019s world.
