Introduction

Following SDG3 and SDG 4 invites as to promote equal access to all levels of education and ensuring good health and well begin for all at every stage of life and these may promote a better future for every child. Education brings a sense of responsibility, self discipline and a spirit of team work among children. Every child must be educated. Health is important to live life to the fullest. Living a healthy life would extend prolong life .Healthy habits help children grow up happy and healthy as well as contribute to preventing future health problems. Having good health is a key to human happiness.

Mark 10: 13-16           Jesus Blesses Little Children

Some people brought children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples scolded the people. When Jesus noticed this, he was angry and said to his disciples, “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you that whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”  Then he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on each of them, and blessed them.

Sent by Wisdom:

We are attentive to the massive consciousness of the global dimension. Inhabitants of an Earth that is threatened in its existence and where human rights are scorned, we announce the Spirit who is always at work and denounce the false wisdoms that destroys life” (RL2). Our apostolic commitments favor the development of the whole person through education, health care, social action, pastoral work and all other activities related to our charism. To meet current challenges, we work to liberate the individual and promote the development of peoples so that “they become architects of their own destiny” (RL3).

Children are symbol of joy in all life experiences.Share the stems of the flower to all the participants and invite them to go forward to place the stems of flower around the images of children on the globe as a sign of joy to the world,

Prayers for Children

Response: We praise and thank you for all the children in the world.

1. Lord God, we praise you that you are fully in control of all things. We pray for protection of the children all over the world. Keep them healthy and help them to thrive. Watch over their life and keep them safe. R 
2. Heavenly Father, we thank you that all good gifts come from you, we thank you that we can trust you for the future of all families. Please guide world’s children in every step they take. We pray they would know your provision and protection. Make steady their steps. R 
3. God we thank you for the gift of knowledge you have instilled in our world. We praise you that you provide them with brains to think and question the world around them. We pray you would help our child learn well and flourish. May they discover their unique talents and giftedness. Give them a passion for the world around them. R 
4. Father God, we thank you that you made children to be in relationship with one another, we pray for worlds children to know great care and support from those around them. May they be encouraged by friends at school, college or university. May they show your love and care to their friendship circle. R 
5. We love you so much, Lord! We surrender fully to you and pray that your love will guide all the people who take care of children today and every day. May they simply be conduits of love to the children in theircare.

 

Concluding Prayer Our dear heavenly Father, we pray for your emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over the world children. Help them to trust you as their refuge and strength. Be on their guard against harmful instruction, and grant them Wisdom to guide their daily discernment. Make them strong and courageous in the presence ill behaviours that may impede their future. Let our children know that the only safe place is in Jesus Eternal and Incarnate Wisdom, through Christ our Lord. AMEN
