The long-awaited moment has finally arrived for the Council of the Congregation, bringing together Leaders of Entities, Treasurers, and those Responsible for sisters of temporary vows in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre. The opening celebration, led by the Treasurers, took place on Monday 8 September at 9am in the Sagesse Spiritual Center Hall.
It began with a brief introduction by Sr. Ruth Dary Palacio Parra, the General Treasurer:
« Dear Sisters, gathered here in this place so meaningful to each of us, Daughters of Wisdom, where our Founders and all our predecessors dreamed and began the Congregation, and also in the context of the Jubilee Year of Hope and the celebration of the tercentenary of Catherine Brunet, we will let the invitation of Wisdom during the last General Chapter resonate in our hearts during these days of the Council of the Congregation:
« Become One Body in Me, for the world ».
All of us, coming from different parts of the world, want to continue listening attentively to the calls of Wisdom. Each one will bring her own specific color, her own thoughts, reflections, experience and deep desire to contribute to the radiance of the Congregational Body, knowing that this will be possible if we open ourselves to the action of the Holy Spirit and if we accept together the risk of taking the necessary steps to achieve it… »
