The Daughters of Wisdom welcomed new candidates to the Aspirancy, Pre-Novitiate, and Novitiate on Wednesday May 7th 2025. The celebration took place at La Sagesse Formation House in Nantipwili, Bvumbwe Parish, Blantyre Archdiocese, coinciding with the Memorial of Blessed Marie Louise of Jesus (Louise Trichet) co-foundress of the congregation of of the Daughters of Wisdom.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Petro Chilumpha, the parish priest of Bvumbwe Parish. Members of the Daughters of Wisdom from different communities in Malawi attended the ceremony.
The Provincial Superior of the Daughters of Wisdom in Malawi, Sr. Mary Chimalizeni, admitted the new candidates to their respective stages of formation. Emmanuella Marko and Betricia Kapalamula was welcomed as an Aspirant. Audria Fransisco, Suzen Pensulo, Jacqueline Kaliya and Mary Mahala were admitted as Pre-Novices. Naomi Chiyembekezo Treezer, Eliza NG’ambi, Patricia Peturo and Ellen Mtuluko joined the Novitiate.
Sr. Mary Chimalizeni advised the candidates to allow themselves to be formed in the school of Wisdom, Jesus Christ, to become his true disciples.
The celebration concluded with lunch and a cake-cutting ceremony.
