On May 12, 2025, Sr. Malou Santos and Sr. Jumelyn Halawig, together with the three Montfort Collegian brothers, joined as volunteers for the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, in the Diocese of Cubao. Before the elections, seminars were held for all volunteers to ensure they properly understood their roles and functions during the election.

The PPCRV is a Catholic Church-based poll lay movement committed to civic life rooted in honesty, service, and the pursuit of truth. One of the PPCRV’s mandates is to monitor the conduct of elections in the Philippines through poll watching and to assist voters at every polling precinct in the country.
The volunteers should be at the precincts before its opening as early as 4:00 in the morning and be present during voting processes until its closing.
It was a fulfilling experienced to be part of the Philippine midterm election where “all 317 seats in the House of Representatives and 12 of the 24 Senate seats were contested to establish the 20th Congress of the Philippines. Local elections also took place across the country for executive and legislative positions in every province, city, and municipality.”
